When we started, we expected to find plenty of projects, studies and publications on Digital Credentials and OpenBadges. Instead, we realized that the landscape is less linear, full of interruptions or dead-ends, and often only touching certain aspects of a quite complex ecosystem. Especially when it comes to Digital Credentials and people distant to the labour market. We also quickly found out that the tech stack and technical implementations are far from being trivial, showing similar limitations and hurdles. So we started with those two.
